News: Important Notice: Major Upgrade for Firefly Server (December 13-15)

Dear Valued Customer,


We are excited to share details about a major upgrade to the Firefly server scheduled for December 13th, 14th, and 15th.

These improvements will significantly enhance performance and reliability, ensuring you get the best hosting experience possible.


What’s Changing:



  • Upgraded Processor: Moving from AMD EPYC 7502P (32 Cores) to the powerful AMD EPYC 9634 (84 Cores).

  • Faster Storage: Transitioning from SSD to high-speed NVMe storage.

  • IP Address Updates: Your IP addresses will change. We’ll share these details closer to the maintenance window.


What to Expect:



  • Live Migrations: Most websites will remain online during the upgrade.

  • Brief Downtime: A short period of 1–3 hours is expected during the DNS switch-over.


Important Note on DNS Updates:



  • If you’re using our nameservers, there’s nothing you need to do—we’ll handle everything for you.

  • If you’re using external DNS providers like Cloudflare or any other DNS provider/service, you’ll need to update your IP addresses. Please contact us ahead of time so we can assist you in preparing for this change.


How to Prepare:



  • Avoid changes to your websites: Refrain from making updates during the maintenance window.

  • Pause critical systems: Temporarily disable CRMs or other customer-facing applications to prevent data loss.
