News: Think Before You Click – Protect Your Email Security

Published: 02/02/2025

Dear Valued Customer,

We are seeing an increase in email scams targeting users through phishing attempts and fraudulent messages. Cybercriminals are becoming more sophisticated, and we want to ensure you are aware of these threats to protect your account and data.

Common Email Scams:

  • Fake Account Verification Requests – Fraudulent emails claiming your account will be closed unless you update or verify your details. We never send such requests.

  • Phishing for Credentials – Emails impersonating our team, asking for your login credentials. We will never ask for your password.

  • Impersonation of Webmail Administrators – Scammers posing as “Administrators” or “Webmail Managers” requesting account actions. These messages do not come from us.

  • Malicious Attachments or Links – Emails containing suspicious links or attachments that may contain malware.

How to Protect Yourself:

  • Verify Email Senders – All official communications from us will come from @nivacity.com email addresses. If you receive an email claiming to be from us but originating from another domain, it is fraudulent.

  • Do Not Click Suspicious Links – If an email urges you to update your account or provide sensitive information, contact us directly to confirm its legitimacy.

  • Educate Your Users & Clients – Encourage your team to be vigilant and recognise phishing attempts to prevent security breaches.

  • Report & Delete Suspicious Emails – If you receive an email that appears fraudulent, do not engage with it. Delete it immediately or contact our support team for verification.

Your security is our top priority. If you have any concerns or need assistance, please reach out to our support team.

Stay vigilant, stay secure.
